Caring Place Food Drive

A Need Expressed by the Caring Place -

"Help! The food reserves at The Caring Place are getting critically low as we move into summer, a high demand season. The escalating cost of food and gas is putting increasing pressure on families and they are turning to The Caring Place for relief. Please consider having a food drive for The Caring Place.

Donald M. Loving, MSW
Executive Director"

The SunCityTXCyclists would like to respond to the need expressed by the Caring Place with a Club drive to collect needed materials as expressed by the list of items that follows.  The Caring Place provides integral and well delivered services to those in need in our community and we can make a significant contribution toward their effort.

Those willing to participate are asked to choose 5 items from the list included below or if preferred a contribution in the amount of $15.  Bill McMillian, who lives at 316 Cobalt Cove, has agreed to accumulate the donations for delivery to the Caring Place.  The donations will be delivered in the name of SunCityTXCyclists as an effort to enhance the welfare of our community.  If you will, please take your donation to Bill's by Saturday July 12th where they may be deposited by the front door (if they are not at home).  Should it be impossible to deliver your contribution please call 868-1860 and someone will come to your home.  Each person is asked to limit their contribution to only those items shown below.

****DOG ALERTS****

The Sheriff's department suggests that if you have had an encounter with any dog in the county, you should contact them at 943-1300 and ask for animal control. While there are no leash laws in the county, problem dogs can be addressed by this department. They will want a description of the dog and the exact location of the incident.
